Project Overview

Amazon Vancouver wanted to attract world-class engineers and technologists in an increasingly competitive global market.

The challenge was clear: recruitment videos often feel corporate and generic. The story needed authenticity, human detail, and emotional pull — not jargon.

The Challenge

Candidates choose opportunities based not only on roles and compensation, but on community, purpose, and belonging.

A strong recruitment story doesn’t pitch a job. It helps someone imagine a life.

And in relocation decisions, families are the real stakeholders.

Our Approach

We collaborated with Amazon’s employer brand, PR, and recruitment leadership to ensure alignment with global messaging, diversity commitments, and hiring priorities.

The narrative was intentionally designed for two audiences: candidates and their families.

Representation, cultural nuance, and authenticity were central — the story needed to resonate across borders without feeling manufactured.

We built the concept around the idea of a “postcard home.”

Employees shared honest reflections about moving to a new city, building a career in Vancouver, and finding balance in a place that offered both opportunity and quality of life.

The Impact

We filmed across Amazon offices, urban neighborhoods, and natural locations that reflect Vancouver’s unique character.

Interviews were candid and grounded, not scripted.

Cinematography captured both the energy of the workplace and the calm of the city that surrounds it.

The film strengthened Amazon Vancouver’s recruitment presence globally and helped reshape perceptions of the office as a hub for meaningful, high-impact work.

Its authenticity continues to resonate with candidates evaluating life-changing career moves.
