Project Overview
BC Pension Corporation needed a video for the Municipal Pension Plan AGM that could distill dense financial and operational information into something meaningful for members.
The challenge: balance precision with accessibility — without oversimplifying the content or overwhelming viewers.
The Challenge
Pension communication is high-stakes. Members need to trust that their retirement is secure. They need transparency expressed in a language that respects their intelligence without requiring financial expertise.
When clarity breaks down, trust follows. Getting this story right matters.
This project required alignment across communications, plan leadership, actuarial teams, and governance stakeholders. We built a narrative framework that protected accuracy while remaining accessible to all members.
Our Approach
We approached the story through the lens of trust and clarity — two values central to BCPC’s work and to Double H Creative’s storytelling philosophy.
Our concept development focused on making the video feel personal, even while handling institutional content. The narrative combined voiceover and real member footage, supported by clean motion graphics that illustrated key data points in a way that felt human, not corporate.
Filming took place across multiple municipal locations to reflect the diversity of plan members — from city workers to healthcare staff. Every shot was framed to emphasize the people who make up the plan, not the system that administers it.
Post-production blended live-action with branded motion design, ensuring alignment with BCPC’s visual standards while maintaining a modern, accessible tone.
The Impact
The video became a key AGM asset and continues to support member education across multiple platforms. By grounding financial communication in human context, BCPC strengthened trust and created a clearer understanding of the plan’s value and stability.
